Coloring..

well i've got here a self drawn painting on paper... now i wantz to bring it in ps.
i scanned it and im starting to make the outlines with paths...
but im afraid of coloring^^ is there any tut for coloring a HUMAN HAND or something like this?

Use a reference. Take samples of colour from a nice clean HQ reference, then apply shades and highlights.

Otherwise, i'm not sure if PS has it, but Illustrator has preset skintone colour swatches.

Remember that human flesh has what us 3D artists call sub surface scattering.

Which means that light is absorbed and projected around. Thats why if you grab a lightbulb your fingers appear red, that is due to the illumination of the tissue underneath the skin.
