Well what i do is i open the psd and make a new canvas about...400x3000. You can change the size later if you like. What i do is i go step by step, or layer by layer in the PSD and document what i did. So for instance. Say your tag has a black background with a dot and a c4d. Describe that you made the background black, then made a dot (describe how or what settings), then that you used a C4D. I like to go through layer by layer and when i want to show what i did i apply image on a new layer and pull that applied image layer onto the tutorial canvas. Basically just document what you did, the settings, and show lots of pictures to help :). GL!

I think numbering steps and making clear boundaries between steps is helpful. ANd especially good is phtoshop windows so its really easy to see what someone has done

i have a question on basiclly the same line so i will post it here instead of creating a new topic ..

How do you connect to the read of the tut? wat i mean by that is how do u make sure that they will be interested and make sure your steps are easy to understand .. I have tryed my hand at making tut's but never works coz in the end i read it and it makes no sense how can i change this?

ok.

1: open your .PSD
2: Go though your steps without writting anything, make sure you know whats what and make sure you know how you did it.
3: Hide all layers except your 1st.
4: create a new document, tuts look good on about 500px the lengh is up to the amount of detail you put into it.
5: give a short descrifption of what the reader will be making, if there are some types resources you use you can share links in that area.
6: Now, lay step 1 down
7: after you have set your 1st step and you happy with it, i like to use a 3px line to separate the steps .
8: carryon till you have finished all your steps.
9: last you can have a few last words the good ol' " rip and die" what ever tickles your fancy.

So thats basiclly it, make sure you tut's text has good typography so the reader can read the steps clear. Setting out the tut is just as important as the tag when i was starting i diddent do tuts that looked crap or poorly layedout.

Good luck chumps ;)

PM me if you need any more help.
