Greetings! I wish I could say this was a good message, but unfortunately it is not. We have had a recent scam of quite large proportions take place here on Gamerenders, and while we normally dont try to make things such public, it involves such a large scale of people, that this time we felt it was needed so that everyone would get the proper warning.
Recently, Lisa. and David. have stolen money from paypal accounts, how they got access to such paypal accounts, we do not know. However credits on this site where purchased with them. If you sold credits to either of them, I suggest looking into it with paypal, as that money will probably be removed from your account when the person who it was stolen from, files their claim.
That is just the beginning though. It was noticied today that the following IPs where found accessing a moderators account: 81.157.157.166 and 217.123.38.242 and 85.146.172.245. Which we later found to be linked to Lisa and David again.
Both have been banned at this point and will never be welcome at GR again. However, a scam of this magnitude unfortunately involves the entire community. Due to an old stolen database of another website, David. has taken it upon himself to access not just staff accounts here at Gamerenders, but member accounts as well. Zander is one of the accounts he was accessing. We don't know whos all accounts he has access to, but we want to ask that every member change their password.
If you have signed up at David. site that he was advertising, you may want to change all you information from email passwords, to paypal passwords etc.
If you bought or recieved credits from any of the following three accounts: David. Lisa. .Oxygen. in the last week, they will be removed, and you will need to file a claim with paypal to get your money back. We cant allow people to keep the credits, because they where added into the system illegally.
The staff highly encourages all those that where involved with either of them via paypal, to file claims asap to get your money back/ They have scammed well over 500 dollars worth of money and legal action is being looked into.
We apologize for the inconvience this may cause anyone, and if theres any further questions, feel free to contact the staff or ask them here. Thanks for your time.[/b]
damn, that's bad.
