it should be a present for my father, he's having birthday in a week.
He's an artist, and doing stuff like this. balancing chairs, tables lamps, etc..
I'll still work on the materials i think. and ill try to find some nice lightning tuts, maybe i can get a better show with better lightning or so...
My modelling is crap, i mean.. i mostly get a new object for a new part, because all this extruding and stuff is pretty hard =/ i know its not the ideal way...

nah the chair is finished, besides the material im not really 100% happy with yet.
The chair should be like falling back, but the lamp is holding hit (will hold when finished xD)

nice modelling so far! :) chair material should be a bit softer stripes
if you want lighting tips from me, ask me on msn ;)
oh its a lamp .. I thought maybe in that like open space in the lamp u were ganna place a cirlce thing to make it so that the chair can rock back without falling over .. like a safty chair .. hmm maybe I sould invent that .. lol anyways nice :)
Find a couple of unwrapping tutorials..
Think about joining the parts of the chair into a single object so you can unwrap the parts to get similar tiling..

I know the lightning isnt 100% real, but i kinda like it^^
Here are some others... i've got no idea why there is shadow where the lamp is actually shining^^

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb269/Shelly_pwns/2-21.jpg and here, some blurry texture, i cant figure out why =/ nevermind^^
oh yeah, one question to some experience members... and idea why the roomedges, where a wall hits another, is dark? i used simple planes without any material...

= very cool detail, nice job
when making rooms i also noticed the cinema4D renderer makes edges dark, i have no idea why.
did you use global illumination? it makes every lighting more realistic.
i would make a foot for the lamp

yep i used global illumination...
well anyway, here's the final image.. the chair could be a bit more in the side, to create a more interesting focal, but whatever
