Okay im sure we have all came across when we make a sig or a site or w/e and it looks amazing in PS
but then we upload it to a website and it doesnt look too well..?

This tut is EXTREMELY simple Basically...

1. Get your eye dropper tool (colour picker)
Click inside the drawing space then drag (whilst holding the left mouse button)
to where ever the colour you want (probably the colour of the site you are uploading too)
for example this forum, just drag it to where the comments appear then let go of the mouse button
and your colour should be selected..

2. Get the paint bucket and simple Click the outer space of the drawing space (the bit that is defaultly a shade of grey)
and you should have changed the colour of it.
so now you can see how it contrasts with that colour of Background.

hope this has helped you in some form

sorry for the lack of structure but... im sure you can follow, if not pm me and ill add it in a bit more detailed... if i can lol

i don't get how to use the paintbucket part, i'm a little confused, can you say it again?

oh wait i figured it out, here is a simpler way of saying it:

For teh photoshop workplace, changing its background:
1. Select color you want it to be as your foreground color
2. Select paint bucket tool
3. Holding shift, left click on the bland gray color
4. this should have changed your bg color
