Password Protection!

All teams should be able to have a private thread with a password protection, all teams except Special Ops (mine) and Freely Complex (Why's) teams have got 1 with a pass, they say u have to ask an admin!

THE ADMIN WE ASKED SAID TO ASK A MOD!!!!!!!!! WHT FCKEN MOD!? when i had started Tech's Got Talent Contst i asked the SUPER mods for a private thread......GUESS WHAT THEY SAID!

ME, CrimsonBlade, and Why are starting a petition, if you believe that a team should have a password protected thread post here! would it be fair to have the other teams also have a pass protected thread and be able to look at 2 of the other team's threads!? What about TEAM resources! Team PSDs? theyre not meant for anyone thats not in the team! HOW THE HELL DO U DO THAT WITHOUT A PASSWORD PROTECTION!? if theres no pass than those resources and PSDs are everyones' eliminating the TEAM part of it!

I agree you see when we battle we battle 6vs6 and we chose numbers 1-6 so 1vs1, 2vs2 etc

this makes it fair while battling... Also we like to share resources with our team and would not like other ppl seeing it ... Now there is no need for all the caps Crimson but yes we do need a password ...

susie has set it so that memebers only + SMOD's can see but Prono hav IJ (a smod) which means he can come in and out when ever see our resources check out our team chat .. see the numbers for you the 6vs6 battle ...

now Prono has a password which means that Inferno of Freely Complex can not check out Prono but Prono's SMOD's can check out Freely ... thats bull shit ...

Now if you for some reason think we don't need passwords don't reply if you do think we do then reply so we can see how many reply's we have ... don't reply 100 times plz

This makes sense to me. Seems only fair, really, to have a private section for the teams so they can discus their plans/stocks etc..
I may eventually be a part of a team, and i know this would make me happy =P

yeah i do agree that this is total bullshit , but hey wtf can we do about...NOT SHIT.. susie and sanjay are in control now , and i guess that we all have to abide by their rules. but the thing that is fucked up about it is that we get new members in our team all the time , so to say , and susie is hardly even here (EVER) so if we do manage to get some new members , there would be no possible way for them to see our forum
now on the v2 of tech they had an awesome mod installed , to where , the team leader could make the forum through the teams forum settings (located right under the banner) but now for some odd reason , an admin has to make the forum
but the thing about the old mod is that the admins (root and regular admins) had access to all team forums , which imo is all right with me. but imo we should bring the old mod back.
but i know that the members and staff bitching about shit , wont get anything done , especially when it means sanjay or susie coming to this forum...

LAST NOTE:

in my opinion , this place is like a house that you are rented . no matter how much you scream and yell , and totally bitch about shit not getting done...NOTHING FUCKING HAPPENS... nothing is ever done to please the members and staff . it is almost as if sanjay and susie really dont give a flying rats us to the people that actually make this forum work. I for one have spent well over 8,000+ hrs on this board and im not gonna sit and not do shit while this place gets even more inactive .
So i am gonna do what people on here have seen me do , cuss and curse , and raise fucking bloody hell till i get what needs to be fucking done here. sanjay is just lucky that there are alot of people that just love hanging out on this board , and will prolly stay till its dead. i know that this board prolly dont mean shit to sanjay or susie , but it does to us .
so basically all that we are really telling you people that bought OUR site is to do what we ask you to , and then everything on this board can run smoothly , Now i dont mean like every single fucking thing here . I just mean like important issues like the password lock on team forums, giving admins their powers back and so forth

Agreed, but i highly doubt people are going to do that. The people who join these teams are serious about gfx and aren't there just for the sake of spamming. But still, a little moderation is needed. Though team leaders could always report to the higher authorities when that does happen. Then action could be taken from there?? Idunno.

Well unfortunately i believe the "Admins" are not aware of how things run around here too well, so that is probably where the "Ask a mod" came in. Supermod's however do not have the power to make threads or to password protect them. I do believe by making this thread the Admins will get the point and start doing things the way we used to. But i really think this was unnecessary. You could have easily messaged an Admin about this, or Sai atleast.

Either way, i hope it gets fixed for you, gl :)

hi guys,

i realise that you may need things done, however, there has to be some structure to it. if every member requests a team be added, it could be a nightmare. thats why i asked that they go via a mod, and then it can be discussed in the mod area. that way some control can be held on what teams get added.

once its in the mod area i can deal with the changes once its been decided that the changes are to go ahead.

ONLY 2 teams are requesting a thread like Pronographikz did! they got 1 why cant Special Ops and Freely Complex have 1 either....what u are doing is saying to go through someone with less power who cant do anything! you are not doing what you are supposed to do.

Instead the Admins dont be so lazy and set up the permission access so for example
special ops team will have a user group based on the member group which ALL special ops will be placed into
then the team forum permission will allow Admin access and the particualar team user group unto who it is aimed to will be allowed in the forum

ok, ive had just about enough of this.

you keep saying im not doing my job right, i am trying to do the best i can. i manage soemthing along the lines of 20 forums, in addition to all the other web design work i have to do for sanjay, and my other clients. tell me how i can manage to spend enough time on this site to know exactly everything about what you do? if you can resolve this issue, i'll be glad to spend more time on here.

regarding asking the general members to go via a mod, well, thats because i dont have the time to track back everything to make sure the procedures you guys have set up, are being followed. i dont know how you guys do things, so i cant be expected to be able to make decissions, going over the mods heads, without questioning it. the reason i ask that you contact a mod, is because technically, my involvement here is to ensure you have the admin you need to add changes when necessary. im not here as a participating member, much as id love to, i dont have time for that. thats why i need YOU to come to me when things need done.

because there are so many active members on here, i need all change requests to go via a mod, because those mods run this board, im only here in an admin capacity to help them with forum changes. its not up to me to decide who gets teams etc, thats their decission to make. and im not about to step on their toes.

now. ive explained this as best i can, if you still think im not doing my job right, then i apologise, and please feel free to contact sanjay, and ask him that i be removed from this forum. im sure he has some other techy on staff that can replace me.

as for the passwords, i just noticed in the admin area that the passwords are visible, so if the other teams that dont have passwords, want one. please PM me and let me know what password to give to the board.

crimson you just need to go with the flow and be patient...I had to wait 4 days for my VIP to get activated but I didn't complain...things get done faster if you just ask the right people and follow the steps they present to you.
