Thats really disrespectful to use the Medal of Honor as a joke award for using a ban on someone.
I'm a U.S. Army Officer and most of the recipients of the real award are awarded it posthumously.
So just out of respect for the fallen men who have really earned the Medal of Honor, please remove it from whoever has it in their profile.
Thanks
Alpha

Yeah, it is just disrespectful towards a bunch of dead dudes, including people who may have sacrificed their lifes for liberating your country. But I am sure that such sacrifice is totally pointless to you and that you would not care wether you would have been forced into the hitlerjugend and possibly punished for writing your poems if the allied expeditionary force just minded their own business.
Why care about those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom you take for granted?
bbob I know what you mean but I think you taking this abit far .. as for as I can see it was a joke ...
I was referring to drĉms "i dont care" comment..
Seeking to create perspective on this matter..

this is the inter webs , where just about anything is possible
so vision , ever since you went inactive and joined the army or whoever you joined(no offense there) but you have changed m8 , you used to be a cool guy who would crack a joke every now and then , but now you sound like a little girly bitch
you think just because i had the medal of honor in my awards on my profile that it is offensive , man grow the fuck up...
so whats next man , are you gonna tell me to remove my HELLFIRE rank, because it might resemble the devil or hell or some bogus bullshit like that???

Yeah, anything is possible on the internet because you have anonymity, so you can be as much of a disrespectful little prick as you want to. Why don't you get a sig with MC Hammer dancing on the cloud of WTCNYC as it goes down while you are at it? Because, hey, it's the internet.
Personally, I think you are the one who needs to "grow the fuck up", to use your wording.

Baseline is, I still don't care much more.
Why fight in the first place?
Because they so need, "peace?". Nah.
Wars are bullshit.
Ah yes, so if some dude gains power and exploits the population, we should not fight him?

Let them suffer, like they would come here and fight for us?
But ahwell.. Guess everybody now says, everybody's equal and stuff.
I don't care.

i see both sides of this argument but...
1. Vision it isnt ment to take the piss outa anyone...
2. Its only a gift you saying we shouldnt post pictures like "wheres Osama now?" because its disrespectful to osama... a terrorist! (just an example)
3. BBob... its only a graphic it dosnt RESEMBLE a real medal..
4. Vision, go Sue the company who made the playstation / XBOX game MEDAL OF HONOUR if it worries you that much..

Exactly what I was thinking.
Look at all those war games, they pretty much all have Medal of Honor as reward, are you going to sue them or what o.O?!

if someone can't take a joke, it's not my fault. that's how i see it.

Okay, I thought about just not responding but I think some of you got the wrong idea. I meant it just to help some of you realize that on or off the internet, there are some things that just don't need to be used in a joking way, whether its good intentions or not. I mean, I'm all for joking, etc on the internet, but things like that just should be left alone, theres really no need to joke about things like that.
I will admit that I am not a Commissioned Officer, I am an ROTC Cadet, but it, in official Army standards, is still considered an Officer, I am just considered a Reserve Officer until I am Commissioned.
I was 15 & 16 when I was active, 17 when I left, and it has been over a year and a half since I left. I'm almost 19 and am an MSII in ROTC. I will, however, be what I said I was once I graduate. I will be a 2nd Lieutenant in the 82nd Airborne Division after Commissioning.
I only said what I did in order to hope to prove my point a little more because most of you didn't start to listen until I said I was a Commissioned Officer. I apologize, I was wrong in the sense that I , but I did it to help show some of you that life and values shouldn't change just because its the internet. You should be mature and only joke about appropriate things; I consider just about everything appropriate, but when you get into essentially mocking men who died in combat, I think thats pushing the limits, and if you are a moral human being, I think that you should at least step back and realize that its just immature/disrespectful to just throw away morals because you're on the internet.
Now I don't want you guys to think that I'm a uptight person who is unwilling to make jokes, I just think that some things ought to be taken with a bit of seriousness. I have a good sense of humor and will have fun with a lot of you guys, but just step back and realize what you're trying to defend, being able to mock dead Soldiers, I mean, can't you joke about something else?
Respectfully,
Paul R. Cerrone
