Just wondering if anyone else here at TZ are getting GCSE results today?

The exams you take at Secondry School when you are 15 - 16 in the Uk.

hmm, and then you go to high school?

I did something like this when I was 14.

Nah our education goes like this,

Nursery - 5 ( i think),
Primary School - 7 (i think),
Secondry School - 11,
College (unless working) - 16,
University (normaly) - 18,

here in Italy:

Primary school: 5 years of study ( 10 - 11 )
Medium School: 3 years (13-14)
High school or colledge: 5 years (18-19)

And then university...

I am at high school now - and have to study 3 years yet :(

Wow.. here it is:

Primary school: 8 years
Medium School: 4 years
High school or colledge: no idea

secondary:6
(now u can start working)
university or high school: depends on what u study
