hey guys
This movie is surprisingly alright.
I thought that just having nick cage as the main character would ruin this film, but, he pulled it of, just about.
Well, the main thing i dont like is that instead of it being based in scotland, its based in an amish-like north eastern pacific island, called summersile, where they have strange and unusual rituals (if youve seen the original, its all the same)
The thing that ruins the movie is definately the ending, instead of ending at the burning of the wicker man (which does happen), it ends in modern america. im not gunna say what happens.
Its definately worth seeing, but it doesnt beat the original.
i think ill give it about a 7/10
There also are some pretty spooky parts that keep you tense in your chair, and some pretty graphic stuff aswell. (specially the part with the mans face all sewn up :S:S)
anyway, go see it, and see for yourself, its alright, not great but its worth the 4.25 that i paid :P
