A friend of mine wrote this article, and since it concerns every gfx-er out there, I would appreciate it if you could take some time and read it. If you feel you have something to add, comments are much appreciated

It was a surge that is dying..
People are stopping to give a shit about it, or moving up to more serious sites that are not about tags.

Yeah you can't do much about that, but even with what is left you just have flaming and rivalry, and that is something one could change

I dont know. People are just not interested in graphics as they were a year ago.
I wonder why.

i can realy find myself in this, i was a actif member of the GFX life 3 year`s ago... then there was a messy period in my life and when i was getting back (a few day`s ago) all the site`s i went to only 1 was left... and even that one is going to die soon.
but as the man from the article said: a few years ago it was gaming, than there were sigs to make those forums look better. then everyone want`to do them. now it isn`t al about gaming anymore so i geas it was starting there with the fall of GFX....

Its kind of sad really, I hope it doesn't die. Have always loved tagging and gfx sites.
Sucks for me that I got into graphics just as it died.
I never had the chance to see the booming gfx community.
Are there any sites that are still alive?

I forgot the name, but i remember the founder, he was named Alias. It was an awesome forum like 3 years ago, there was even currency, i would accpet requests and people would pay me lol. I remember rendering a photo of a drummer. But it got hacked a few times and linked to gay porn and then i think they decided to close it.

This is God Honest through . Its said and I've seen it go down . But maybe its just the part of GFX evolution .Cause if you look at it the quality has went up by miles. I mean I classed myself two years ago and got Inter , if I do it again now with the same tags I doubt ill pass for high novice. But thats a good things . Its sad however how people became rude and stuff.

In others mind you are inter and in some your novice or what so ever.
Whole classing can be fun if you dont take it seriously but like so many, get so serious with it.
And then they start whining. Not saying you are whining.
Yes, communities change and that is good thing as you said.
And no they arent dimishing. New sites pop up all the time.
Im glad to notice that there has been more LPs and photos than more tags.
Tagging is a start but i personally think they cant be taken serious.

Taggin is for fun and its were most of us started....those who moved from tagging to lp's owe it all to tags. I say keep tagging alive and stop this LP cropping shit. Most of the GOOD gfx communities are dead...And new ones pop up all the time but they pretty much suck. This used to be such a great community but its beeen dowwn in the dumps for quite a while now.
PS Fuck classing, its pretty retarded all it is is an opinion of someone else on how good your works are. People already give you their opinion and feedback when you post in showoff sections anyway.
