PS7 Smudging help

[Trouble]

Hi all, i have ps7 but when im following tutorials, i cannot complete them bcuz of the smudging options that are locked.. here is a SS

its really annoying cuz i cant use the scatter and stuff :(

you need to download some brushes ... try www.deviantart.com, search for Grunge brushes and splatter brushes then use them with the smudge tool.

or just click on that triangle in the cirlce at the top right of your picture select a different brush preset many of the brushes already included in ps can have some attributes applied to it ... like scatter and stuff

yeh well thats all i got glass, n nope it didnt work, but wen i go into the manager thing for brushes, all the option are available :S

if you cant get photoshop cs or cs2 go download GIMP ... its really good much better than ps7, and its free under GNU agreement

i only recently upgraded :/

i did have CS2 but my 30 day trial expired n i didnt have a serial, n im not bein stupid n registerin sum1 elses serial online..... what did u do?
