Ok since I'm kinda NOOB at photoshop I wanted to have some help on this thing that I saw when writing my most recent tut of a sig made by kirbir from gamerenders.

I would like to know the difference between these and how to get the second one.

Well only way i know how to do this is just making the PhotoFilter then a new layer merging those two layers and after merging clicking once on this symbol (it´s red in the picture)

it's a vector mask

you can add one and then brush black on the right bit to make bits invisible.

actually, you jsut make a layer mask, then add a photofilter to it
