okay, well basically... I try playing video games today... it worked on saturday also... and i get FUCKED graphics...

it's like, red lines all around the screen, all the textures are extruded and fucked up, and i can't see for shit... tested this on all steam games, BF2, BF2: Project Reality, and WoW! ALL THE SAME!

I think it's my gfx card or LCD monitor... But I'm not sure... HELP! :(

ps. it's fine when doing anything but playing games... soo...

yeah update it. mine was like that and i can't even play splinter cell pandora tomorrow and i updated it get fine :D

yeah, thing is though...

i updated (my radeon 9800 pro's) driver to the newest Catalyst Control Center thing.... and it said after installation that i couldn't access it and need to contact an administrator.... and i was on the only admin account on my pc!!!

it is your GFX card problem

contact your PC shop/service or someone to check up on your PC cause the source can be from your mobo or old BIOS etc..

okay, its definately artifacting from the gfx card

however... i have no idea how to fix it! i cant send it to the shop as my parents dont know (im not meant to be online from exams)... anyone got any ideas? i think it may be overclocking somehow...

yeah i do ... you can easily remove the password from the administrators account then log in there ... install the new catalyst that should fix it for you... its all about the driver.

im in the admin acc already and always was.

i fixed the CCC bug, but its still artifacting... :/ the driver does nothing this time :(

id try to uninstall the driver and install it again ..
if so then try to use Iolo system mechanic

yeah whenever installing drivers make sure you remove all old files, not just uninstall but also use driver cleaners such as Driver Cleaner Pro. run it in safe mode and try it again.

yeah, unfortunately i actually did that the first time... and it's still fucked.
