for my Killzone Liberation sig i tried a new technique to exclude all colour except one out of a sig
i chose to keep red and make the rest B/W

here you see the outcome:

so let's start

Now just make the original layer black and white.
you can do this on several ways, choose the one you like the most
i choose for a photofilter with colour black and a density of 100
your outcome:

helpful.. but could you not do selective colour aswell?

selection with channels is also as cool, but i guess colors ranges are much easier
