hye,
Look i want to a signature as well.... :) i have read the some tutorials...They are quite easy for me..but the real problem is clip masking and c4d render...First...I don't know what is clip masking, how to use it and what the effect it gives gives..... Second which kind of c4d renders peoples are using i got some from Planet Renders but those are not so good, how to get some good c4d renders like these http://ic3.deviantart.com/fs14/f/2007/078/..._by_SteoGFX.png (http://ic3.deviantart.com/fs14/f/2007/078/7/6/New_tutorial___by_SteoGFX.png) and help me out in clip masking thing...Sorry if these things are said already by some one else and he got thew correct answer.... :)

Thanks...

Hm, clipping masks are very simple and effective (IMO) I use them a lot.

Clipping Masks.

-Sig with clipping masks.-

1. Use a splatter brush or whatever in your stock/render.
2. Make a new layer (ctrl+alt+shift+n).
3. Hide the splatterbrush.
4. On the newest layer press ctrl+alt+shift+e (apply image)
5. Press on the same layer ctrl+alt+g (create clipping mask)
5. Voila, you got a clipping mask in your splatter brush. :)

C4D.
The C4D that is used in that tutorial is called "Effect" C4D.
You can use those to create "Flow" in your signatures or to make some lighting (which is what some do).

Hope that answers your question. :)

ok again clip mask :P
take a finished sig. new layer->rectangular marquee tool. make a biiiiiiiiiiiiig box and fill with white. now you hide (by clicking on the eye) the layer with the box you just created. now you should see your sig again without ANY changes.

make a new layer (above the hidden one)
and go to image->apply image->hit OK.
now hit ctrl+g and unhide the other layer and move the applied layer (on top).

now you should see the clipping mask effect ;)

that's right
and a clipping mask, what it does is this:
1.
-you have a base image with the shape you want
-you have an image with the "texture"you want

2.
you place the base button on the bottom and the texture layer just above it.

3.
select the texture layer on your layers window.
press ctrl+g (or on a mac option+g)

4.
now you'll see that only the shape of the base layer is shown on the texture layer, the rest of the texture layer is hidden.
now you can move the texture layer to make other parts of it visible, but it'll always be in the shape of the base layer

hope that helps

i don't know dude

try these steps:

make new layer, fill with white

make new layer brush randomly on that layer

make a new layer, and drag in an image

on that image hold ctrl alt g, you should see a little arrow come out pointing down

now grab your move toool (v) and start dragging it around

if it works correctly your image should fill up the places were you brushed, make sure your brush is on a hundred percent opacity and that all the the layers have a 100 opacity
