guys, we are here to help you, but everybody has a real life too and something to do. So the thing you only can do is wait and stop bumping the topic.

I guess I'll write out a mini-tut as to what I do with text.
________________________________________________

Text is the last thing I think about when I'm making a sig. However, its the most important part. The more creative you are with text, the better your sigs become.

An important point of text is not to have it sticking out so much that it takes away from the focal point of your piece.

Another thing about text is that it has to flow with the signature and the render. However, if you dont want it to, you can just put it where it fits.

There are two parts to text:
A. Placement and styling.
B. Blending.

Lets start with part A:
_________________

Usually when I add text, I more than likely put it on one of the corners or just somewhere that I feel fits the sig Im making.

When I add text, I always choose a nice font like Verdana, Gauntlet Thin/Classic, Moderne, Arial, etc.

I put in the text in white. The most important part of text is where you put it and how its going to complement the sig.

And now for part B:
_______________

Blending text can sometimes be a pain to people. It's probably the hardest part about making a sig. You dont want the text to take away from the implemented focus of the sig.

What I do to blend my text is I write out the text in White. Then I set it to Soft Light. Then I set the Fill of the text layer to something like 30-50%.
This way it blends like in these sigs:

Lets suppose Im making a sig that has a black BG and probably a C4D on it or something. All you need to do it play with the opacity like in this one:

If you're making a grunge sig, for example, you might want to avoid the plain fonts. You might want to use fonts like Alias, Base02, Living Hell, Viper Nora, etc.

What I do what I add text to grunge sigs is I pick out a nice grunge font and write out the text I want and place it right where I want it in white.
Then I would set it to Overlay and add a 1 px black stroke at 45% opacity like I've done in this sig:
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b188/lord_sesshoumaru7/mediumhardgrungesig.png

And this one as well:

Meh, and this one too:

Well, that pretty much sums it up as to what I do with text. Enjoy and have fun.

don't just put your text away
if you put text on your sig
be as creative as possible with it, don't just put it in a dark corner

nice tut, but those sigs are also easy to rip ;)

Exactly. So what were you looking at when you first saw one of the sigs?

one hint more don?t put your text on the last layer make it on the begining and place some gradient layers and so on over it.
I always set 1 text on soft light duplicate it and set it to overlay ;)
