Dice just finished the beta of the new map "highway tampa" funded by Intel (you'll see some intel billboards on the map :lol:.

the map is mostly based on heavily armored vehicles, like tanks and apc's.
there's 2 planes and only transporting helicopters.
there's also cars and anti-air vehicles.

the map isn't perfect for infantry, the map is based on vehicles, and as i said before: mostly heavily armored vehicles.

i play BF2 a lot, but all i can say is PoE2 and PR pwn BF2 and pwn BF2142 even more ;)

Well If anyone gets on BF2142 add Niteforces to your buddy list and we'll hook up. I work late nights but usually on during the weekends. I can show ya how to throw footballs (NADES) at the other team and watch them blow up! LOL! No actually my squad isn't real active in 2142 but very heavy in other areas but there are a few of us that PWN!

WOW lot of BF2 players here.. I did play it but now hooked on 2142. The game is IMO is a bit more difficult and takes a bit of time to get used to then what Bf2 did. Still fun none the less especially when you get on a good team that works as 1 unit instead of going off by themselves. Can't wait for the next BF game to come out. Speaking of which Novalogic the maker of BHD (Black Hawk Down) is still working on their new release but still no word of when, what or where its going to be released.

Haha, nagh. I've played the BF series for just abit over 2 years now and 2142 is definately easier than BF2. Not as many variables to look out for. EA basically dumbed it down because all the crap players were complaining they were always getting killed :P.

And yes, teamwork always wins. I was in a clan for all of my BF2 and half of 2142 experiences. Running in numbers is always an advantage, why have 1 gun when u can have 3 or 4 :)

I haven't heard of the Black hawk Down game?

Black Hawk Down was based of the real life situation in Somalia back in 1992. The game is roughly about 5-6 years old but still active. The maker Novalogic (http://www.novalogic.com) came out with several different games BF2 was actually a spin off from Nova's last release called Joint Operations. EA games / Dice just improved it bunches with better vehicles, aircraft and the other military weapons. But need to improve on the weapon accuracy for "inyourface" action. LOL

2142 is just pretty much a re-skinned mod of bf2 but if you take it by itself, its a kick-ass game

i played battlefield 2142.
you don't have any chance if you're not in a vehicle in bf2142, the good point is the possibility to select your kit advanced.

next to that i've never seen anything that wasn't worse than in bf2 in bf2142

wont work with BF2, its multiplayer and u cant install it with the CDkey again or somthing ....

i mainly whored it up on sharqi, on teh ground in the tank. or in the Mi-28 owning everyone, that was my speciality flying and gunning. jets were also one of my favourite vehicles.

one of my previous clan members who was well renowned for gunning inthe mi-28, her best score was i think 200 or so kills and 1 death. screenshotted as well. she was going after my 123 kills and 3 deaths. and..well she owned it lol.

all this talk makes we want to go play it again. ive just started playing World In Conflict.
