Try Xhiea's tut, that's mainly on backgrounds (for stocks) i came out with some good outcomes

ok i tryed its pretty good but now i need to make a banner and have never made one before so if someone could lead me to a tut or make one thatd b great

you should try things out yourself, you can learn from a tut, but make your own style of banners/sigs too

All I know I can do is blend a duplicated render and move it to fill the background lol
